The U.S. has reported its 19th straight week of jobless claims under 300,000. That’s the longest streak since June 2000. Jobless claims this week hit 281,000, falling from 296,000 last week. Claims are still a bit higher than the post-recession low of 266,500 in May, reports Bespoke Investment Group.
