NexAsia Week Ahead: Greece debt payment; US housing coming up

    Good morning everyone. On the back of Governor Carney’s recent comments, the Bank of England’s MPC minutes this Wednesday should have its fair share of investor attention next week, though earnings season, U.S. housing, and New Zealand’s rates policy will all be vying for their time in the spotlight. Topping them all though would still be Greece, which has a €3.5 billion debt payment to the ECB coming due on Monday.

    1:00 am – Bank of England Governor Carney speech

    5:00 am – Reserve Bank of New Zealand interest rate decision

    7:50 am – Japan June balance of trade – forecast: 6 billion Yen surplus

    7:50 am – Japan June YoY exports

    Friday:

    9:35 am – Japan Flash July manufacturing PMI – forecast: 49.7 from 50.1 in June

    9:45 am – China Flash July manufacturing PMI – forecast: 49.8 from 49.4 in June

    10:00 pm – U.S. June new home sales – forecast: down 0.9% from May
