Manulife adds institutional sales director. Dario Di Napoli has joined Manulife Asset Management as managing director for institutional sales. Di Napoli will manage central and eastern Canada opportunities with assets less than $100 million. He comes to the firm from Westcourt Capital Corporation where he worked as director of asset management and client services for institutional sales.
Vanderbilt adds four to investment team. William Staedli, Priti Mody, Matthew McGanity, and Michael Billings have all joined Vanderbilt University’s investment office. Staedeli joined the firm in April as operations manager. He previously worked at The George Washington University. Mody, McGanity, and Billings began work as investment managers this summer. Mody comes from Cogent Partners, McGanity from BBVA Compass, and Billings from First Pacific Advisors. Vanderbilt News
Mercer adds alts leader. Ben Thorndike was hired as North America Alternative Investments leader at global consultant Mercer. Thorndike comes to the firm from FOC Partners, and previously worked for Huntsman Gay Global Capital and Bain Capital. Mercer also promoted Jordan Nault to the position of global leader of the firm’s hedge fund boutique. Nault has been at the firm since 2006.
