In an early August interview with CNBC, noted short-seller Bill Fleckenstein called the stock market “crash-prone.” The asset manager is well known for having predicted the financial crisis in 2007, plans on launching a short-selling fund this fall. It is his first such fund in six years. After Monday’s devastation, Fleckenstein asserted that more pain lay ahead in the markets.
