Standard Chartered loses DCM chief. Peter Szekely, Standard Chartered’s Hong Kong-based head of debt capital markets, has apparently left the firm to join a rival bank. StanChart confirmed his departure, saying:

“We can confirm that Peter Szekely has resigned and left the Bank on 6 August 2015 to pursue other interests…we wish him well in his future career endeavors.”

Szekely originally joined the bank in 2011 to run its global high-yield product group after a stint at the independent markets and financial advisory firm, StormHarbour. He also held several key roles in Morgan Stanley and Credit Suisse, including managing director of the former’s leverage finance team. Where he is shacked up now however, is still unclear. Aram will now be overseeing the firm’s fixed income trading business from investment grade bonds to distressed debt all under a single umbrella. He will be working together with Ellis Thomas, Barclay’s Singapore-based head of credit sales for the Asia-Pacific, in managing the region’s credit business. He will continue to be based in Tokyo. Reuters
