Hedge fund managers appear to believe that their money has real sway over the White House.
In a recent poll by the New York Hedge Fund Roundtouble, 47.1% of respondents said tha Wall Steet, “particularly hedge funds” will play a major roll in the 2016 election; candidates can’t ignore the big money. Another 29.4% said hedge fund money wouldn’t make a difference in the election.
The respondents said Dodd-Frank requirements would be eased by a margin of 42.9% if a Republican wins the White House. But 28.1% said they think that regardless of which party ultimately prevails, “the public backlash would be too great for any politicians to ease regulations.”
