Alicia García-HerreroChief Economist, Asia Pacific, Natixis
Alicia García-Herrero is the Chief Economist for Asia Pacific at Natixis. She also serves as Senior Fellow at European think-tank BRUEGEL and Research Fellow at Real Instituto Elcano, and is currently Adjunct Professor at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology. Alicia is an advisor to the Hong Kong Monetary Authority’s research arm (HKIMR) and the Asian Development Bank (ADB) as well as a member of the board of the Hong Kong Forum.
Alicia holds a PhD in Economics from George Washington University and has published extensively in refereed journals and books. Her research work and opinions are frequently quoted in leading international media, such as the Bloomberg, CNBC, CNN, Reuters, Financial Times, and Forbes. As recognition of her leadership thoughts, Alicia has recently been nominated TOP Voices in Economy and Finance by LinkedIn.

Julian GordonVP, Asia Pacific, Hyperledger, The Linux Foundation
Julian is Vice President, Asia, for Hyperledger, The Linux Foundation open source collaborative project created to advance cross-industry blockchain. Julian started his career in London, working in technology within investment banking at HSBC, Lloyds Bank and Kleinwort Benson. He then spent the past 20-plus years in Asia Pacific business development and leadership roles within leading technology companies HP, Sun Microsystems, Juniper Networks and Cisco. He is a strong advocate for open source and the truly transformational potential of blockchain. Julian has a BA (Hons) in Systems Analysis from the University of West of England. He is based in Hong Kong, where he was born, and is married with two children.

Leo ChiuChief Technology Partner, Click Ventures
Leo Chiu is a hands-on practitioner and a tech-savvy entrepreneur. After completing secondary education in Hong Kong, Leo fought his way into Stanford University. He graduated with an MS degree in Management Science and Technology (aka Operations Research & Engineering Economics).
After graduation, Leo was recruited into Morgan Stanley’s New York office. Finding that Wall Street is not his cup of tea, Leo went back to Stanford and started his STEM career in Silicon Valley.
Leo was a core contributor at his last 4 big data/AI startups serving in the role of CTO or first engineer where he demonstrated his skills in AI and big data. All these startups led to successful IPOs or M&A exits with a combined market valuation of over US$1B.
Before joining Click Ventures, Leo was the venture partner of Spike Ventures (a venture fund for Stanford University Alumni), focusing on blockchain, AI and big data related ventures. He was also actively coaching the youths and young adults on the topic of innovation-driven entrepreneurship via various mentorship programs and the mainstream media as public speaker and lecturer.

Margaret YangEditor-in-Chief, Singularity Financial
Professor Margaret Yang has over 20 years of experience in IT and technology fields in North America and Asia. She had worked in higher education and multi-national technology firm as tenure associate professor and in charge of Innovation Services respectively, authored IBM White Papers on ERP and financial risk management. While based in the United Nations in New York, she had interviewed Nobel Laureate economists and global 100 flagship CEOs on technology advancement for best practices case studies. She was invited as speaker of the 2010 San Diego WTC Annual Conference on Global Economic Outlook, the quadrennial 2016 Global Forum for Media Development, and the 2017 ICTPI, the International Conference on Technology Policy & Innovation. Prof. Yang co-founded a Tech start-up company in 2018, which owns six national and overseas blockchain technology-related patents.

Neil joined the Bitcoin industry in 2014, working across a number of verticals such as exchange (OKCoin), payments (Remitsy and Wyre), and infrastructure (Blockstream). Neil is also a lead author on the Cerberus storage protocol, and regularly contributes insight on the Bitcoin market to publications such as WSJ, Bloomberg, BBC, SCMP, and SBS.

Patrice PoujolAuthor, Online Film Production in China Using Blockchain and Smart Contracts: The Development of Collaborative Platforms for Emerging Creative Talents
Dr. Poujol is an EnTech research expert and a film practitioner. He has 8-year experience in the financial sector and movie finance and 12-year experience as a creative consultant and producer in the movie industry. In 2018, he obtained the first PhD worldwide on the integration of blockchain technology in Creative Media (CityU Hong Kong) through an academic exchange with UCLA and a participation in the MEFTI programme organised by MIT.
Dr. Poujol is a member of the Hong Kong Internet Governance Forum (HKIGF) and EnTech public policy postdoctoral research fellow at the centre for Applied Computing and Interactive Media (ACIM – CityU). His book “Online Film Production in China Using Blockchain and Smart Contracts” is published by Springer in 2019.
Dr. Poujol is the founder and CEO of Box Productions and of Lumière (芦明) – a blockchain and smart contract solution to handle transactions and flows of capital faster, cheaper and more transparently into movie productions. The Lumière Project (芦明) is part of the Motion Protocol ecosystem, a global alliance of blockchain and media companies, which has developed working solutions for film professionals throughout the entire production chain from finance to distribution.
