BlackRock adds co-manager in U.K. BlackRock’s U.K. income fund has added David Goldman as co-manager. Goldman as been working on the firm’s U.K. equities team since 2006. Goldman will manage the income fund with existing co-managers Adam Avigdori and Mark Wharrier. InvestmentWeek

Santander hires global institutional sales head. Santander Asset Management has hired Ileana Salas for the newly created role of global head of institutional sales, based in London. Salas will be responsible for building the asset manager’s institutional sales in new and existing markets. Legal & General grabs J.P. Morgan strategy head. Legal & General Investment Management has hired Paul Sweeting as head of research in its solutions group. Sweeting comes to the firm from J.P. Morgan Asset Management where he worked as European head of the strategy group. Reuters
Standard Life grows multi-asset team. Standard Life Investments has hired Gerry Fowler as investment director of idea generation on the multi-asset investment team. SLI has launched four new multi-asset products in the last 18 months, and is looking at continued growth. Fowler previously worked as global head of equity and derivatives strategy for BNP Paribas.
