Deutsche Bank poaches UBS’ head of China ECM. Kefei Li, UBS’ head of equity capital markets for China, has recently jumped ship to Deutsche Bank, where he will be taking on a similar role. His appointment at Deutsche comes after Neil Kell, the German bank’s head of equity capital markets for Asia ex-Japan, resigned earlier this year. Prior to joining UBS, Li was executive director for China ECM at Morgan Stanley. He will be based in Hong Kong. Reuters
HSBC names new debt syndicate head. Carla Goudge, a 12-year veteran at HSBC, will be replacing Matthias Knobloch as head of debt syndicate for Asia-Pacific at the firm. She will continue to be based in Hong Kong and will report to Adam Bothamley, HSBC’s global head of debt syndicate, and to Alexi Chan, the firm’s global co-head of DCM. Finance Asia
Credit Suisse loses head of China financials research to Barclays. Victor Wang, director and head of China banks research at Credit Suisse, has recently been appointed director and head of China financials research and strategy at Barclays. He will be reporting to Bhavtosh Vajpayee, managing director and head of equity research-Asia ex-Japan. Reuters
