J.P. Morgan loses institutional solutions head. Matt Malloy has stepped down as head of institutional solutions and advisory at J.P. Morgan. Malloy joined the firm in 2010 from Goldman Sachs. Malloy has grown J.P. Morgan’s insurance asset management business to more than $70 billion in assets under management. Bloomberg
Allianz hires head of solutions from Aon Hewitt. Allianz Global Investors has hired Satya Kumar as head of solutions for the U.S. based in New York. Kumar previously worked as a partner at Aon Hewitt Investment Consulting. Pensions & Investments
Ex-shadow pensions minister joins Aberdeen. Gregg McClymont has joined Aberdeen Asset Management as head of retirement savingsĀ to develop the firm’s pensions strategy in the U.K. McClymont served as shadow pensions minister from 2011 to 2015, but lost his seat in the May election. He remains a part of the Labour party, but is not politically active. Financial Times
Prudential names head of multiasset portfolio management. Prudential Portfolio Management Group has hired Michael Coop as head of multiasset portfolio management. Coop replaces Matthew Williams, who departed in January, as well as taking on some additional responsibilities. PPMG is Prudential’s U.K. manager of managers arm with $240.8 billion in assets under management. Blackstone appoints senior advisor. William J. Burns has been named senior advisor at Blackstone to counsel on geopolitical issues. Burns currently works as president for the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace. He previously served as Deputy Secretary of State, and ambassador to Russia and Jordan.
