BAML names sole head of Asia-Pacific GCM. Peter Guenthardt, Bank of America Merrill Lynch’s co-head of Asia-Pacific global capital markets, has been named by the firm as its sole head of Asia-Pacific GCM. His appointment comes after the resignation of former co-head and BAML veteran Jason Cox. Prior to joining the American bank in 2011, Guenthardt was managing director and CEO of UBS Investment Bank in Zurich, and headed the firm’s equity capital markets business for Europe, the Middle East and Africa before that. ANZ snags new head of Asia debt syndicate. Alan Roch, the Singapore-based managing director and Asia-Pacific bond syndicate chief for RBS, is joining ANZ as the firm’s head of Asia debt syndicate. He will be replacing James Holian. Before heading RBS’ Asia-Pacific debt syndicate, Roch was the firm’s head of bond syndicate for Central and Eastern Europe, Middle East and Africa. Reuters
Barclays taps Dubai MD as head of Asia-Pacific corporate banking. Alexander Harrison, Barclay’s former head of international debt finance in Dubai, has been appointed by the firm as its new head of corporate banking for Asia-Pacific. He will be relocating to Singapore, and will be reporting to Matt Tuck, the British bank’s head of global corporate banking. Harrison seems to have spent his entire career at Barclays, joining the firm back in 1998 as a relationship director. Finance Asia
