Neil Woodford leaves Invesco eating his dust

    Neil Woodford’s new fund has surpassed the fund he managed at Invesco.

    Woodford’s fund, which he started in 2014 after leaving Invesco, held £6.74 billion at the end of July, reports City A.M. Invesco Perpetual Income managed  £6.45 at the end of June.

    The Woodford Equity Income is far outperforming its peers at 21.9%, compared to 7.3% for the sector. The FTSE All Share has returned just 3.3%. Woodford’s small company picks are boosting performance. Writes City A.M.:

    “Woodford’s robust stock picking process with a focus on company fundamentals and valuation of the companies he invests in means over the longer term he is likely to deliver,” says Adrian Lowcock, head of investing at AXA Self Investor.
