    Alibaba hires ex-Goldman exec. Chinese company Alibaba hired Michael Evans as president, effective immediately. Evans will help the firm expand internationally, as it tries to become a big player outside of China. Evans was a partner at Goldman Sachs for 20 years, and vice chairman for five years. He will continue to be based in New York. Wall Street Journal

    Market maker grabs ex-Morgan Stanley exec. Arxis Capital has hired Jay Dweck as chief technology office and head of rates and currency trading. Dweck previously worked at Morgan Stanley where he worked as head of strategies and technology for institutional securities. He also worked as head of core strategies and later equity strategies at Goldman Sachs. Arxis was opened by former Bank of America employees last year. TabbFORUM
