    BAML loses TMT banking chief. Winston Cheng, Bank of America Merrill Lynch’s head of Asia technology, media, and telecommunications investment banking, has reportedly left the firm to lead LeTV Holdings’ corporate finance unit, where he will be in charge of the company’s investments, financing, as well as M&A. Cheng joined BAML from Goldman Sachs in 2013, where he was a managing director and head of Asia ex-Japan technology investment banking. Finance Asia/LinkedIn

    HSBC names new sponsors banking head. Michael Bevan, a former equity capital markets (ECM) banker turned Asia-Pac sovereign wealth and public pension funds head by HSBC, will now be juggling two roles as the firms appoints him head of its Asia-Pacific financial sponsors group (FSG).
