Franklin Templeton Investments names co-presidents. Vijay Advani and Jennifer Johnson will be co-presidents, effective October 1. Prudential names product development head. Snezana Zlatar is the new head of product development for the total retirement solutions business at Prudential Retirement. She replaces Veronica Charcalla, who was moved to become head of client experience for the total retirement solutions business. Lazard hires former Navy intelligence officer. Nathan Pund has joined Lazard Middle Market as managing director in the consumer and retail group, focused on lifestyle sectors. Pund served as an intelligence office with NCIS in the U.S. Navy. He co-founded Silver Steep Partners, a boutique investment bank, before selling the business to D.A. Davidson.
University of California at San Francisco foundation gains first CIO. David Harkins will lead the $1.2 billion endowment fund, which had been managed by an investment committee and external managers. The fund has gotten large enough for in-house management, the college says. Harkins previously worked as managing director of public markets, responsible for equity and fixed income investments, for the University of Pennsylvania. Pensions & Investments
