    State Street Global Advisors names new president. Greg Ehret was named president of SSgA, replacing Ron O’Hanley. O’Hanley will remain CEO of the asset manager, and the firm is cutting the role of COO. Ehret will be responsible for SSgA’s product and marketing operations and infrastructure teams.     Vontobel hires new portfolio manager from Goldman. Vontobel Asset Management has hired Ludovic Colin as a fixed income portfolio manager and foreign exchange and interest rates macro specialist. He previously worked at Goldman Sachs as a cross asset macro specialist. Reuters

    Prudential fixed income head to retire. Paul Appleby, co-head of Prudential Fixed Income’s Global Leveraged Finance team, will retire in January. Appleby has worked at the firm since 1987 as a high yield credit analyst, an equity strategist, and director of credit research. He currently manages more than $46 billion in high yield and bank loan assets. Robert Cignarella, Appleby’s co-head, will become the sole leader of the team.

    Manulife adds three new roles. Manulife Asset Management Private Markets has named Jenn Lundmark head of real estate fundraising, Ken Pogrin as global head of business development and chief operating officer, and Sahezad Pardhan as global chief financial officer. Lundmark previously worked for American Realty Advisors and Goldman Sachs. Pogrin has been working at Manulife as chief counsel in North America and private markets globally. Parhan joins from Oxford Properties Group. Benefits Canada

    Senior TIAA-CREF chief risk officer moves to LPL. Tom Gooley has joined LPL Financial as managing director of service, trading, and operations, reporting to CEO Mark Casady. Gooley comes to the broker-dealer from TIAA-CREF, where he worked as chief risk officer and senior managing director of the Retirement and Individual Financial Services division. Think Advisor

    SSgA sub-advisory head jumps to OMAM. Old Mutual Asset Management has hired Steve Coyle as director of sub-advisory and institutional retirement. Coyle joins from State Street Global Advisors where he worked as head of the U.S. sub-advisory business.

    Deutsche steals Morgan Stanley exec. Robert Quick has joined Deutsche Asset and Wealth Management as branch manager in North Carolina. Quick had worked at Morgan Stanley since 2008. On Wall Street

    Standard Life equity manager exits. Ed Legget, U.K. equity manager for Standard Life Investments, is leaving the firm after 13 years. Legget joined the firm out of college, and currently manages the £1.3 billion UK Equity Unconstrained fund. Wesley McCoy will take over management of the fund. Investment Week

    Pioneer expands equity team. Pioneer Investments has hired Jeff Kripke as portfolio manager in the U.S. equity department. Kripke comes from Allianz Global Investors, where he worked as co-CIO of the Disciplined Equity Group and portfolio manager of a core equity strategy. Kripke previously worked as a portfolio manager at Wellington Management for 13 years.

    HSBC continues shakeup. J.P. Morgan national director of consumer banking Pablo Sanchez has joined HSBC as head of retail banking and wealth management in the U.S. Sanchez replaces Kevin Newman, who is retiring from HSBC after 25 years. American Banker

    AXA adds to emerging markets debt team. AXA Investment Managers has hired Sailesh Lad and Olga Fedotova for its emerging markets debt team. The head of the team, Damien Buchet, is departing for new opportunities. Lad will managing the AWF Emerging Markets Short Duration and AWF Global Emerging Market Bonds funds. Lad joins from Ignis Asset Management, and Fedotova from UniCredit. Investment Week
