Greece faces a long rest of the week as the default situation continues to crumble. European officials rejected the latest proposals by Greek Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras, but said they have taken note of them. “We see no ground for further talks at this point,” said Jeroen Dijsselbloem, president of the Eurogroup, in a statement Wednesday. Talks, proposals, and financial arrangements will wait until after the Greek referendum this weekend. Dijsselbloem says he is “very sorry about the situation,” considering so many Greeks have made it clear that they want to remain part of the E.U.
