StanChart appoints Andrew Chia global head for managed investments
Andrew Chia has been appointed global head for managed investments at Standard Chartered Bank, taking over the role from Alexis Calla, the bank said in an internal memo. Calla has been “double-hatting” as global head for both investment advisory and strategy, as well as for managed investments.
Chia will repot to Judy Hsu, global head for wealth management and priority and international banking, consumer banking, the memo said.
In his new role, Chia will oversee fund selection for the bank’s private banking and retail platform. Before this, he was the retail head, retail clients for Taiwan.
Bank of America Merrill Lynch appoints co-heads for Asia Pacific investment banking
Chris Gammons and Alex To will take their new roles as co-heads of Asia Pacific investment banking, according to Reuters. Both will report to Jiro Seguchi, head of global corporate and investment banking for Asia Pacific, and Karim Assef and Diego De Giorgi, global co-heads of global investment banking.
