    Standard Life expands fixed income. Standard Life Investments has hired Thomas Coleman for the newly created position of North America senior investment specialist. Coleman will be responsible for expanding the firms global fixed income business. He previously worked as fixed income investment director at Wellington Management.

    Blackstone exec moves to New York Life. Sean Gelb has joined GoldPoint Partners, a private equity arm of New York Life, as chief financial officer. He previously worked as a v.p. at Blackstone. Bloomberg

    BNY growing alts business. BNY Mellon has hired Alan Flanagan for the newly created role of Global Head of Private Equity and Real Estate Fund Services. Flanagan is based in Dublin, and reports to Frank La Salla, CEO of BNY Mellon’s Alternative Investment Services, in New York. Flanagan previously served as global head of product management for Alternative Investment Services. Real Estate Weekly News

    Schroders adds to multi-asset. Schroders has hired Ashley Lester as global head of research for Schroders’ multi-asset investments and portfolio solutions business. Lester joins from MSCI where he worked as head of fixed income and multi-asset class research. The role is a new one for Schroders.
