One of China’s oldest cryptocurrency exchanges will launch an exchange in the land of the rising sun.
According to an announcement (h/t CoinTelegraph), OKCoin subsidiary OKCoin Japan has completed its registration as a virtual exchange service provider with the Kanto Local Finance Bureau.
OKCoin Japan has purportedly been preparing itself infrastructure-and compliance-wise since its establishment in September 2017. In doing so, it has built “a stable and robust service environment with solid customer protection measures including segregated management of customer assets, customer data protection, among others.”
At any rate, with registration in hand, the company is expected to launch an exchange in the country soon. It has yet to unveil service details and schedules, though pre-registration of customer accounts are already on its site.
