Airwallex, the Hong Kong-based fintech unicorn, has just closed another massive round of funding.
The Sydney Morning Herald reports that the Australian payments upstart has just raised $160 million.
New investors include ANZi Ventures, the corporate venture arm of ANZ Bank, and Salesforce Ventures, the investment unit of the American cloud giant Salesforce. Existing investors Tencent, Sequoia Capital China, Hillhouse Capital, and DST Global also participated in the round.
The new round of funding brings the startup’s total funds raised to $362 million.
Airwallex will use the funds to accelerate its growth in Europe, the US and new markets, expand its product line to include payment acceptance solutions through a proprietary gateway and for potential acquisitions in the payments space.
